Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about online therapy, what to expect in sessions, and how to get started with support.
What is online therapy and how does it work?
Online therapy allows you to meet with me via a secure video platform from the comfort of your own home. It offers the same level of support and confidentiality as in-person counselling.
Do I need to have experience with therapy?
Not at all. Many people come to therapy for the first time when they start to feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. I’ll guide you through the process at your own pace.
Is online therapy confidential?
Yes. I use a secure video platform and follow strict professional guidelines to ensure your privacy and confidentiality at all times.
What are your fees and how do I pay?
My session fees are listed on the Pricing page. Payments are usually made by bank transfer before each session.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
Life can be unpredictable — if you need to cancel or move a session, please give at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged.
What happens in the free 20-minute consultation?
This short, informal chat helps us get to know each other and decide whether working together feels right for you. There’s no pressure to commit — it’s simply a chance to ask questions and get a feel for my approach.
How often will we meet?
Most clients find weekly sessions helpful, but this can be flexible depending on your needs and schedule. We’ll discuss what works best for you.
How long does therapy last?
I offer both short- and long-term therapy. Some clients come for a few weeks to work through a specific issue, while others continue longer for deeper personal growth and reflection.
Can I have therapy if I’m outside the Cotswolds?
Yes — because sessions are online, I can work with clients across the UK and beyond.
